DISAM Personnel Initiatives

Overview

The Military Departments anticipate significant personnel losses due to retirement, reassignment, and other forms of attrition. They have, therefore, established internship programs to help mitigate this problem. To learn more about your specific MILDEP program, contact your MILDEP representatives on the Contact Us page.

The Navy program builds on its existing acquisition internship programs.

The Air Force is establishing an International Affairs Career Field (IACF). When fully functional, IACF will afford the Air Force internship opportunities through the Palace Acquire (PAQ) program.

The Army internship is planned to be built on the Army Logistics Internship Program.

A non-MILDEP IA internship program, i.e., one sponsored by DSCA, is not planned at this time.
